The CFU recently hosted two more public information sessions, the first in Winnipeg and the second in Thunder Bay. In both cases those that came out were enthusiastic and supportive of our new Canadian Freelance Union.
Speaking at the Winnipeg event, CEP Vice-President (Media) Peter Murdoch said Canada's largest media union stands behind the efforts to organize freelancers. He said it is now time for freelancers to come forward and stand together in this effort.
Michael OReilly, the CFU's interim President, spoke about the need for collective action. "We've watched our real incomes drop by over 160% in the past 25 years. The CFU is our best chance to reverse this trend. Join us now!"
